With its high Internet profile, eBay is certainly one avenue that you need to be checking out when you are looking to go about selling your photos online. The first question that needs to be asked however is, what are the best types of photos to take in order to make sales on eBay? This article will address that question as well as other things that you need to be aware of when selling photos on eBay.
eBay, as well as other auction sites, host a great many photographs for sale. At the risk of stating the obvious, going to the site and seeing what is already selling is the smartest way to gague what types of photos you should be taking. Certainly the best selling photos on eBay are antiques which you obviously cannot create but you will find that unique celebrity shots and one-of-a-kind images are also very popular. Unique photos of sporting events, nature shots and weird photos all sell like ice cream on a hot summers day.
When you sell photos on eBay there are some rules that you must follow.
1.Be specific about what you are selling: a print, resell rights or public usage rights.
2.Make sure you have read and understand eBays rules for selling photographs and that you adhere to their nudity and privacy rules where appropriate.
3.Supply your contact details and samples of your work in the item description wherever possible.
In reference to point 1 if you are selling with resell rights then you are giving your customer the right to resell your image. If you sell with full rights then you will not be able to sell the photo later on because you will no longer be in possession of the rights. If you are giving the customer the full rights to your photo then you must ensure that charge an appropriate price as this will be the only sale you make. You could sell the photos resell rights anywhere from $50 to $1000 a photo, depending on the type of photo and its uniqueness.
If however, you sell public usage rights your customer will not be able to resell the photo but they will be able to publicly display your photos. You will be able to sell these photos to an unlimited amount of people with market saturation (meaning you have sold the photo so many times that no-one else wants to buy it because it has become too popular) being your only potential problem. Generally these types of photos sell from $2 to $30 a piece on eBay.
Screensavers are a very popular sales item on eBay. You can design your own screensavers by going to download.com and searching for the keyword – screensavers. It will list hundreds of screensaver programmes that are available for immediate download. After you have created your screensaver with your downloaded programme, login to your eBay account and list it for sale. You will be able to sell that same screensaver over and over again. There are no limits here.
Taking your digital camera to sporting events can also reap huge dividends. Photos of famous players can sell up to $100 a piece on eBay. When you are at the sporting event you will need to get as close as you can to the action, even if you have to sneak up to the front row. Identify the more famous sports stars and concentrate on them but get more than pictures of just one player. Take a lot of photos and weed out the bad ones as you go along.
Upload all of your pictures of the sporting event on eBay and create a listing for them. You can simply sell them digitally via the Internet which is the easiest approach but if you want to add value you could tell your bidders that you will ship the photo over to them in frame. The size is up to you but I would recommend that you keep the photo at a normal size. Make sure to put the sportspersons name in your eBay listing to help your bidders find it easily. You are almost certainly guaranteed to get multiple bids on each and every one of these photos that you list on eBay as there are so many sporting fanatics as well as sporting businesses that need these types of photos.
Be sure to keep your ear to the ground (or eye to the screen!) when considering what photos to sell on eBay. Things change, new trends emerge. You need to be able to move with them.

First things first, a photo handbag is a bag that has your favorite picture on it. Currently, there are a lot of companies which offer photo handbags and which you get to ultimately design your very own picture perfect photo.
One such provider of cool photo handbags is Gina Alexander. She has outlined three easy steps to be able to order and have your own photo handbag. The first ever step in order to order your very own designer photo handbag at Gina Alexander is the selection of your favorite photo.
So far, this has been considered by some as the process that is quite difficult. It all depends on the shape of your photo handbag. The picture you have chosen will eventually be pasted and featured on each side of your photo handbag as well as the lid top.
However, if you still cannot choose between two photos of your liking, you could actually choose both with one photo on one side and the second photo on the other side of the photo handbag! An additional fifty dollars is all it takes for the second picture to be placed on your very own customized photo handbag.
The next step is in the selection of the shape of the bag. Whatever shape you get to choose, it is always an amazing way to turn your photos to a sentimental expression as well as your own cool and unique fashion statement.
The final step is in placing your order. Believe it or not, you could actually place your photo handbag order through the internet with your chosen photo scanned or sent in digital form. You could also snail mail your picture and send it to the customer service department of the Gina Alexander collection.
Why photo handbags?
Believe it or not, this is a very uncommon and therefore extremely original gift that couples in their wedding anniversaries would go for. A photo handbag is also a great gift idea for those new mothers who have their babies. Imagine giving them a bag that has the picture of their beautiful baby’s faces on it. It simply melts the heart.
A photo handbag is also a convenient way to make your gift truly special. Giving a photo handbag signifies your thoughtfulness and sensitivity to actually making your gift special instead of simply buying something off the shelf.
Photo handbags are something that most people value and appreciate for a long time. It is a reminder of the moments and faces of people that are deemed special.
A photo handbag is something that a woman – most especially – will get to use most of the time each day. It is also a subtle statement – both fashion-wise and relationship-wise – which allows her to flaunt either her relationship with a significant other (that is if the photo handbag is of her and her beloved partner) or a picture of her child.
Single people would also enjoy a photo handbag. They could have a picture of their dog, friends or themselves on it.
All in all, the possibilities are limitless. A photo handbag could be enjoyed by children and adults alike, particularly women and children. Your own imagination is the only limit you could put upon yourself as a hindrance to truly enjoying your very own photo handbag.

In the last decade, photography has become an increasingly digitised medium. But while many have revelled in the convenience and high-quality photography that digital cameras have granted, others have lamented the loss of traditional photographic printing – claiming that many digital cameras are not built to provide long-lasting photographic memories. While these complaints hold some ground, developments on the internet over the past few years have meant that there is now an easy way to maintain the longevity of your photos: online photo sharing.

The burgeoning popularity of online photo-sharing sites has seen the emergence of many successful internet brands in the new generation of web 2.0 sites. Photo sharing sites have flourished as more and more people – both professional and amateur photographers – continue to post their work and invite comments, links and general debate about their photos.

Uploading your photos and sharing them online has a range of benefits. For starters, if it’s your child’s first birthday party and you’re keen to share the photos with family and friends across the world, you’ll be able to do so – both simply and affordably – by placing them on an online photo album. Sharing your photos in this way avoids the expense of having to post photos to multiple recipients by mail, and is far more convenient than emailing large photo files that can take a while to download. What’s more, using an online photo sharing site can also act as storage space for your photos, so you’ll be able to keep them for an indefinite amount of time without cluttering up your computer’s hard drive.

If you’re a budding professional photographer, placing your photos on an online photo sharing site can be a great way to get yourself noticed by your peers. Many photo sharing websites let users add tags to their photos, so that other members of the photo sharing community will be able to easily find and view photos on similar subjects or from the same geographic location.

Tagging photos that you’ve uploaded to a photo sharing site means your photos will have much better visibility, and will also be likely to generate more user comments and constructive criticism of your work. Search engine Yahoo!, for instance, have recently started incorporating photos of famous world landmarks into their search results.

Online photo sharing, therefore, has a variety of merits that can be enjoyed by a cross-section of web users. Whether you’re a developing photographer keen to share your work with the world, or you simply want to find an easy way for your grandmother to see photos of your new baby, online photo sharing is the answer for you!

While a picture speaks a thousand words, those words tend to have one main meaning – with the possible exception of the still-mysterious Mona Lisa. But what if you had the chance to change those words? Are you interested in having that chance? If so, all you need to do is get help with a Photo Shop tutorial on effects.
Adobe Photo Shop today is the world’s leading digital imaging software program, and it allows users to edit their pictures with an amazing array of tools.
Tone – With just a click of your mouse, you can immediately turn your 100% colored photo into a black and white picture to make it seem older. You can also choose to give it a sepia look for a similarly quaint but more artistic impact.
Text – With the help of an Adobe Photo Shop tutorial on effects, you can also add cute text or captions to and within your photos. Unlike older programs which require you to copy and paste text with white backgrounds, Adobe Photo Shop has a transparent background so that only the very shapes of the letters are pasted on your photo. With this option, the text you’re adding will be made a part of the very photo.
Selection – Sometimes, you wish to create an effect on only one part of the photo. Adobe Photo Shop anticipates this need, and even better, lets you choose the shape of your selected part. When you’ve selected which part of the photo you wish to edit, all subsequent changes will then take effect on that part alone. It’s as easy and simple as that!
Mosaic – Remember your old art lessons in primary school and you had to create a mosaic project? Well, how about doing a mosaic version of your photo? It seems to require harder work with only your keyboard and mouse, but think again. Thanks to Adobe Photo Shop, you can create your own mosaic with just a click and even choose the cell size for your photo.
Blur – Faded patches in a photo are interesting, and you can intentionally make such patches on your photo if there are none to begin with. Under the same category of tools – Filter – in which you’ll also find other effect options like Mosaic and Pointillize, you can use the Blur option and apply it to a selected part of your photo or all of it. Keep pressing the Blur button until you reach your preferred degree of blurriness.
Color Pencil – Have you ever imagined what your photo would look like if it had been drawn using colored pencils? Imagine no more with the help of Adobe Photo Shop. Under the colored pencil function (still in the Filter category), you can also choose the degree of stroke pressure, paper brightness, and pencil width applied to your photo.
Neon Glow – Do you want your photo to outshine everything else in its vicinity? You can literally achieve that with the neon effects of Adobe Photo Shop. Once more, it can be a part of or the whole photo that could be changed with this option. The impact of this function can be modified according to neon color, glow, and brightness.
There are many other effects that Adobe Photo Shop can provide you and to change your photo, but self-study and self-exploration won’t get you anywhere fast anytime soon. If you want to learn now, find the best Photo Shop tutorial in the Internet and start watching.

Photography is truly an enjoyable art because of the great freedom it offers. You can take many different types of photos you don’t have to be stuck taking the same type of photos everyone else does. You can be as creative as you want. While it’s an awesome hobby, it can also be something that makes you money. This article is for all the photographers who have ever wondered how to sell photos online. You’ll learn exactly how to sell photos online for a profit.
Step 1: Look Online
There are certain types of images which are in demand, and there are those which aren’t so popular. Before even trying to make money by selling photos online, you should take some time to do a little research. Go online to a stock photography web site and take a look at their selection of images. Next to an image, you might find something that says it is popular or in demand. These are the types of images that you want to take as they the most profitable photos to sell online.
Step 2: Good Equipment
Stock photography sites and their customers demand photos of a certain quality. They usually don’t want amateur looking shots, but rather those that look very good. You should invest in a very good digital camera to take the photos with. Now which camera you choose will depend on the types of images you’re hoping to take. For instance, if you’re looking to take action shots (that is, photos of things or people in action) you might want a digital camera that is especially good. You can get camera recommendations at any digital camera forum. Don’t ignore this step as it is one of the most important to sell photos online.
Step 3: Take the Photos
Now that you know what type of photo to take, and you have the right equipment, it’s time to actually take the photo or photos. When doing this, if you are using a model, make sure they sign a waiver giving you all the rights to sell the image(s)–failure to do so can result in potential legal trouble. If possible, take a lot of photos so that you’ll have a good amount to select from. This allows you to truly find the best images, which will make it that much easier when you sell photos online.
Step 4: Find Places to Sell Them
You have the photos. Now what? Well, it’s now time for you to find places to sell photos online. To this end, there are many sites which are popular and will allow you to successfully sell photos online. The key is to find these sites and not get caught up in the few that are actually rip-off sites. For this part of the selling process, you may want to enlist Google and look for terms like places to sell photos online, stock photography web sites etc. You may also want to join some photography forums and ask experienced photographers which sites are reliable to sell photos online and which are not.
Step 5: Select a Place
It’s unwise to just find a site and automatically choose to use it for when you sell photos online. That’s why like some of the other steps of the photo selling process, you need to take time to research. Research each site you’ve found to see if they’re reliable, fair to customers and those who submit the photos (i.e. you), are well-known and organized. You absolutely don’t want to choose a site that has a poor reputation or else you’ll end up not selling very many photos online. Google is your best friend in this part of the process as you should be able to thoroughly research any web site to see if they’re good for you and your photos or not. Again, you might also want to ask fellow freelance photographers for recommendations, just so that you get enough information to make the best decision.
Step 6: Submit the Photos
After you’ve picked the site you wish to use to sell photos online, it’s time to actually submit the photos. When doing this, you need to be sure to follow all the rules the site has for submission. You’ll want to fill out the form as accurately as possible, and if they ask you what category your photo belongs in, take the time to research and find out what is the best fit as far as a category is concerned. If you have questions about the form, ask the site. We can’t stress this fact enough: you absolutely NEED to follow all the directions for submission as if you don’t, no matter how good your photos are, they won’t be accepted. Do not neglect this important part of the process to sell photos online or it could cost you big time.

In the olden days only fashion designers were able to create the latest styling trends for purses. However, now everyone can create their own purse through the magic of the photo handbag. What is a photo handbag? It is simply a purse that has personal graphics incorporated into its design. If this concept seems ‘new’ to you, read on as this article will provide all the information you need on how to create your own photo handbag.
First, you will need to decide what pictures you want to use for your photo handbag. If your pictures are not in digital form, you have the option of mailing them to the photo handbag company. Be aware, though, that doing things this way makes the price of your photo handbag more expensive. For this reason it is better if you can just create an electronic copy of your printed photos. You can do this by scanning your photos into a scanner or an all-in-one machine. When the scanning process is complete, make sure the photos are in .jpg or .jpeg format. Now, find a photo handbag company such as Snaptotes.com and follow their instructions for uploading your photo into their database. Usually this involves just selecting your photo from a file manager. Once this is done, the photo handbag company will display how your photo would look on your chosen photo handbag. If you like the design, you can go on and purchase your photo handbag. After a few days, you will then receive your new photo handbag in the mail.
When it comes to the types of photo handbags you can make, you are not limited in selection. You can create photo handbags that are in the design of a clutch purse. You can make a photo handbag in the style of a cosmetic or workout bag. You can even make photo handbags in the style of a backpack. And the price for each of these is really not much more than what you would buy normally. In fact, if you are into designer handbags, you would be paying significantly less since most photo handbags are no more than $120. This is in contrast to designer handbags which can be hundreds of dollars.
If you do not want to use a photo handbag for yourself, consider giving them as a gift. For example, what grandparent wouldn’t love to have a photo handbag showcasing their grandchildren at play? What child would not love to see show off their artwork on their school backpack? The possibilities are endless when you begin thinking about who would appreciate getting a photo handbag.
In conclusion, when it comes to purses and fashion design, photo handbags finally let an individual have a little bit of creative power. Their unique attractiveness and cheap price are sure to catch many people’s attention, especially those who are really into photo collecting. All in all, the photo handbag is definitely a more creative alternative for displaying photos than a photo album.

Taking photographs for people can be a great way to make a living. For the person who has a passion for photography, such a career can be a dream come true. There are a lot of well paying fields within photography, though one that is often overlooked is that of event photography. Event photography is a field in which people can make a great living taking photographs. However, it’s not a field for the highly inexperienced photographer, as it does take some work to master, as well as organizational skills. Event software can make event photography much easier for the beginner, as you’re about to find out.
What is Event Photo Software?
If you know what event photography is, you should have a pretty good idea of what event photo software is. If not, you’ll find out now. Event photo software programs are programs which serve to make event photography a bit easier. They help with organizing the photos (which is very important because event photos need to stay in a certain order so that they “flow” well), naming pictures and much more. To put it simply, event software speeds up the process of actually managing event photographs. It’s like having an automated software do all the repetitive, mundane work for you.
Should I Use Event Photo Software?
That’s an excellent question that many curious event photographers wonder about. The question of whether or not to use event software is heavily debated in photography forums. Most of the time the answer to this question is that yes, you should use event photo software. We’ll give you 5 reasons why.
Reason #1: Professional Looking Photos
Professionalism is of the utmost importance in event photography. People are paying you to take high quality event photographs, so it’s important to make sure your photographs adhere to this high standard. Event photo software can actually help you do this. That’s because you can use event software to edit pictures and make them look better and more professional. For instance, there are event photo software programs specifically created for wedding pictures. These help a photographer to make this type of image look its absolute best.
Reason #2: Slideshows
A common bonus event photographers offer to their customers is that of the slideshow burnt to a DVD. Believe it or not but event photo software programs also help with the creation of slideshows. You can use such a program to quickly and easily create a great slideshow complete with animation and transition effects. These will be very appealing to customers, making event software a great choice for this reason alone.
Reason #3: The Ability to Create a Gallery
When you are showcasing your photos to the customer and letting them pick which they want printed out, it’s a good idea to have them arranged in a gallery. Obviously, doing this manually can be a bit of a chore. First you have to get all the photos together. Then you have to create a great looking gallery. Finally, you add the photos in and arrange them. For the busy photographer (and most of them are busy), this can be a daunting task. Event photo software automates the process and creates a gallery right away. The nice thing about event software is that it not only creates the gallery, but also allows photographers to choose between several different designs, thus allowing them to customize their gallery.
Reason #4: Online Photos
As you can tell, there are many great things about event photo software. Yet another one is that some event software programs will automatically upload the photos to a web site for you. This definitely saves a lot of time as uploading photos manually can take hours, depending on the size, not to mention all the design work involved in putting up a web site and online photo gallery. That’s why using event photo software is a good idea.
Reason #5: Organization
Yet another reason to use event software (which is something we already mentioned) is that it helps to make things more organized. You can use the software to keep track of a lot of photos. Have you ever had to keep track of several hundred event photos at once? It’s quite a chore, isn’t it? Event photo software can do this for you. It can keep a lot of photos organized, and also make naming and captioning photos a breeze. This is the single greatest reason for using event software. It just plain makes the job easier.

When the memories that you have of your family, relatives, and friends are so dear to you, there is one way for you to keep these forever. When you capture fun moments in photographs, you will be able to look back in time. You will be able to reminisce the joys and laughters that you have shared with the people that you love. In order for you to bring back memories with such vivid colors, as if you are turning back the hands of time, you need an excellent photo printer. You will only be able to produce photos with clear and bright colors when you use top of the line printer and photo paper. If you are searching for one of the best photo printer, go for Epson.

There are various types of Epson Photo Printers. One of these is the Personal Photo Lab, which produces photos in an instant. With a single touch of the printer, you will be able to print photographs within your own abode. The images that are printed by this product hold up longer than other photo printing alternatives. A model of the photo lab is the PictureMate Dash, which is among Epson’s inkjet printer. The photo paper that is appropriate for this printer is 4” x 6”. Through the PictureMate, you will be able to produce vivid photos in a matter of 37 seconds. The gadgets that you can connect to this printer are USB flash drives, USB, direct and PictBridge USB, optional Bluetooth, and PC & Mac compatible.

Other than the PictureMate, Epson also has the Stylus Photo series. These photo printing models provide pictures which do not have white borders common in other photo printers. What is more, the printing speed of these series is fast. With Stylus Photo series, you can come up with top quality images. This is because of the high quality inks that the printers use. Some of the models of the Stylus series allow you to print right from the digital camera. One of the models of these series is Epson Stylus Photo R280, which lets you print 4” x 6” colored pictures within 11 seconds. You can connect this with PC and Mac compatible, and USB. Through Stylus Photo 1400, you will be able to come up with 13” x 9” images. This is the maximum photo paper size of Epson. You can connect your (direct print) USB, USB, and PC & Mac compatible to this model. The third in the series is Stylus Photo R800. Through this photo printer, you will be able to produce 5”x 7” colored images within 45 seconds. You can use your USB, PC and Mac compatible, and FireWire for this printer.

When you want a photo printer for office use, you can opt for Epson Stylus C88+. The color capacity of this printer is 12 ppm, while its mono capacity is 23 pmm. It can print up to 120 sheets and can connect through Mac and PC compatible, and USB. When you want large-format photos, you can go for the wide format photo printers of Epson. With these printers, you will be able to print images with sizes ranging from 11” x 14” to 17” x 22”. You can do such large printing formats within minutes. Examples of these huge format printers are Stylus Photo R2400 and Stylus Photo R1800. Both of these can print wide images in less than 2 minutes.

Before you can begin to enjoy photo sharing with family and friends, you need to take great digital shots that are razor-sharp and crystal-clear. After all, there’s nothing quite so frustrating as when your photos of memorable events like a graduation or a vacation turn out blurry or fuzzy or just plain dull.
The good news is great photos can really be a snap — if you keep in mind a few important tips. I guarantee that in no time you’ll be having fun with photo sharing and easy photo printing!
Tip #1: Buy a camera you’re comfortable with!
There are many digital cameras to choose from and, with all the bells and whistles, making a selection is not easy. While all these “extra” features are great to have, ask yourself these two question: What do I really need and what can afford? Then make your selection and learn all you can about the model you buy. And keep the camera’s manual close at hand so you can continually refer to it. You’ll definitely want a camera that makes uploading photos to your computer a snap, as that allows for photo sharing.
Tip #2: Keep the camera steady
The #1 reason our photographs turn out fuzzy or blurry is that the camera is shaking. As you probably have found out, the slightest movement can be disastrous, especially when your looking for high-quality photo sharing and easy photo printing. You don’t want to waste your time taking photos or end up with blurry prints.
But keeping a steady hand is not easy. So to ensure that you take photos that are really sharp and clear every time, you can do 3 things — use a tripod (not likely but it is foolproof)…or simply put your camera on any flat surface (not always realistic)…or you can just lean back on a wall or tree and hold yourself steady.
Remember, a still holder and a still camera will make all the difference in the world if you want to produce clear, sharp photos share you’ll be proud of.
Tip #3: When to use your flash
The flash is used to eliminate dark shadows. But it’s also tends to create a barrier that can actually wash out the natural mood that’s so important to capturing mood and feel. So the important decision is when to use it — and not use it. Disregard the urge to use the flash when you camera tells you to.
Instead, whenever you can, use the natural light that’s available. In a darkened setting, instead of the flash, turn out all surrounding lights to highlight the room. You’ll be amazed at how easily your will create photos that are beautiful and poignant.
Be sure to know your flash’s range. For most cameras, the maximum range is less than 15 feet. Keep this in mind and you’ll enjoy photo sharing and easy photo printing because all your photos will be outstanding!
Tip #4: Bring your photos to life
Here’s a simple way to turn ordinary photos into unusual and interesting shots. Don’t keep your subject in the middle of the frame. Instead, simply shift the image slightly to the left or the right. You’ll be delighted with the results.
Tip #5: Turn your camera sideways!
Now why would you want to do that? The answer shouldn’t be a surprise. With a vertical shot, you can create a picture that is much more intriguing. Try it for yourself. You’ll soon be taking all sorts of vertical photos — and enjoying the more! And the better the picture, the more you’ll enjoy photo sharing.
Tip #6: Be creative!
Don’t let the photo control you. You control the photo. Use your imagination and your creativity and you’ll get plenty of compliments.
Change locations. Add props. Arrange your subjects and photograph them in different poses. You’ll take photos that will be a source of pride and joy forever.
Tip #7: Preserve your memories
You never know where or when that next great photo op will present itself! So be prepared — carry additional memory cards. Just like a computer, you need some backup.
Believe me, sooner or later, you’ll need that extra storage capacity. And when you enjoy photo sharing and easy photo printing with the people in your life and see the smiles on their faces, you’ll be glad you had the extra backup.
Photographs can help you create wonderful family keepsakes that tell the stories of your life. Keep these tips in mind, and you’ll look forward to years of photo sharing and easy photo printing, and preserve a lasting legacy for future generations to enjoy.
